We’re looking for self-motivated, passionate individuals with an interest in social media to support the marketing team in a part-time unpaid internship position. The intern will work with our content marketing team and help us develop a growing area of our department.
This intern position is perfect for the enthusiastic and motivated individual, who is a friendly communicator with strong writing skills and has experience in social media in a business perspective.
Position Description
Researching and developing revolutionary and exciting social media initiatives.
Assisting with SMC Marketing’s webinar program, creating awareness and interacting with attendees.
Contributing written posts to the SMC Marketing social media pages. (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Plus, etc)
Be able to attend training sessions biweekly on Skype.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Masters or PhD program.
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher.
Excellent knowledge of the English language and impeccable grammar in written and oral communications.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Strong relationship building skills.
Pluses
Previous experience as a social media intern (as an intern or within campus organizations.)

We are looking to redevelop our websites, and are interested in creative coder to bring our website presence to the next level. The Intern will contribute mostly in content development and front end development.
Position Description
Develop UI code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Basic knowledge of editing existing web front end code using WordPress, a website content management systems (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL.
Responsible for creating 2-10 blog articles per week.
Proofread and validate content for accuracy.
Be able to attend training sessions biweekly on Skype.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Masters or PhD program
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher.
Excellent knowledge of the English language and impeccable grammar in written and oral communications.
Ability and willingness to self-teach new and advanced software functions.
